RHEM Hints

How can I use the sim panel to translate the diagram?

  • 1 of 11: Press the red button at the bottom of the sim panel to turn it on.
  • 2 of 11: Notice the three shapes along the left side of the panel and the three black squares along the right side.
  • 3 of 11: There were black squares on the pentagon building diagram!
  • 4 of 11: But there were also white squares.
  • 5 of 11: Click on either a black square or a shape and see what happens.
  • 6 of 11: The black square changes to white, and the shape transforms into a different one. (Click on a white square to turn it back to black.)
  • 7 of 11: So here's how it is. The black and white squares correspond to the ones on the diagram, and the shapes next to them correspond to the ones you saw on the screens that are on four of the actual building's sides.
  • 8 of 11: So match up squares with shapes using the diagram and the sim panel.
  • 9 of 11: For instance, the diagram shows a black square with two white squares underneath it next to the lower left edge (which corresponds to the SE side of the actual building).
  • 10 of 11: If you set the sim panel to have a black square on top with two white squares underneath it, you can read off the shape combo for the screen on the SE side of the building, which is:   Vertical bar
    Square
    Diamond
  • 11 of 11: Translate the other three sides and note the answers down while you're in the Four Way Tower, then return to the pentangle complex and set the four screens.
