RHEM Hints

What about the machine with the odd puzzle-like thing under its panel?

  • 1 of 11: Don't those four puzzle-like pieces look familiar?
  • 2 of 11: Compare them to your "hidden" inventory (which you can get by pointing the mouse cursor under the main game picture).
  • 3 of 11: Yup, it's something to do with the four-piece letter you have to put together.
  • 4 of 11: To learn more about that letter, press the top red button on the machine. Some text will slowly scroll by, telling you about the two brothers behind all of this. (I hope they're nicer than the two brothers in Myst!)
  • 5 of 11: Whenever you get a piece of the letter, bring it here and drag-and-drop it onto the panel.
  • 6 of 11: To find the letter pieces, search the following four areas:
  • 7 of 11: Once all four pieces are put into the panel, close it to get the machine to make a printout of the complete letter.
  • 8 of 11: After it does, click on the printout to move it into your inventory, then click on it in your inventory to read it.
  • 9 of 11: NOTE: After taking the letter, you may not be able to get your inventory right away. You might have to click the down-pointing hand cursor to the right of the machine first.
  • 10 of 11: Before you leave, press the bottom red button on the machine to open a compartment with a key in it. Click on the key to put it in your inventory.
  • 11 of 11: Now return to the Second Rail Station to make your escape. See its hint section for the final details.
