How can I figure out how much water a transfer operation will move?
1 of 9: You can experiment around with the water transfer controls.
2 of 9: A more useful approach would be to exit the Round Building through its upper west door and find the nearby control panel that has the four water tank symbols on its buttons.
3 of 9: Try pressing those buttons in pairs.
4 of 9: If you press the button for the main water tank and then tank 1, it'll show you that it would go from 4:0 to 3:1.
5 of 9: That means that one fourth of the water would be moved from the main tank to tank 1. (The same goes for tank 2.)
6 of 9: You can't transfer water directly from the main tank to tank 3, so try pressing the tank 1 button and then tank 3.
7 of 9: You'll see that you can transfer one half of the water in tank 1 or 2 into tank 3.
8 of 9: That's the sum total of the possible moves.
9 of 9: In summary, if you move water from the main tank to a smaller one, one fourth of the main tank's water will be transferred. If you move water from one smaller tank to another, it'll move half of the water.
