RHEM Hints

What do I do with the big radar-like display?

  • 1 of 15: To find it, enter the building and go through the door that's opened by a red button and on past a large lever to a room with two large consoles in it.
  • 2 of 15: Examine the console that looks a bit like a radar screen. It may or may not have any yellow dots on it yet.
  • 3 of 15: Go pull the big nearby lever to get a radar map grid overlaid on the screen.
  • 4 of 15: There will be a yellow dot on the screen for every antenna whose power you've turned on.
  • 5 of 15: Your task here is to use this radar screen to help you figure out what each antenna's coordinate symbols are.
  • 6 of 15: You can read the antenna's coordinates off the radar map printout that's obtainable in the Four Way Tower's upper room. See that hint section for details.
  • 7 of 15: That printout has the same grid pattern as the console's grid overlay, so you can get the coordinate pair for an antenna by comparing the printout with the radar screen.
  • 8 of 15: Only thing is, if you've turned on more than one antenna, how do you know which yellow dot is which antenna?
  • 9 of 15: The green lines on the printout are meant to give you a hint in that direction.
  • 10 of 15: If that's not enough, use the following graphic along with my Radio Complex Map. Both have the antennae numbered from 1 to 13.
  • 11 of 15: Or you can just look at the following annotated version of my radio complex map which has all of the coordinate symbols printed next to the antenna numbers.
  • 12 of 15: Once you have all thirteen antenna's coordinates set, hit the lever to remove the radar grid overlay on the radar screen so that you can press the button in the center of the screen.
  • 13 of 15: A radar line will sweep the entire screen and make a certain noise for every antenna it sweeps across. If the noise is just a "click," then the antenna's coordinates aren't set correctly.
  • 14 of 15: Once they're all set correctly and you do a radar sweep, a four-digit number will appear directly underneath the button. Note it down quickly!
  • 15 of 15: If you missed it, it's 8829.
