How do I open gate 3-4?
1 of 6: According to the book, this will be button 2-3.
2 of 6: You must reach room 2 and that means you have to open gate 1-2.
3 of 6: Gate 1-2 can be opened by button 6-5, but that means gate 5-6 must be closed and you have to reach room 6.
4 of 6: Room 6 can be reached by two ways: taking the south door to room 5 and then to room 6 or going from room 9 over 8 and 7 to 6. As buttons to open and close gates can only be pressed on closed gates, only the second way is possible.
5 of 6: To open gate 7-6, press the button 5-4, then open gate 8-7 by pressing button 9-8 and at the end open gate 9-8 by pressing button 1-2.
6 of 6: Now go to room 6 and press button 6-5, and you can reach room 2 to press button 2-3.
