There is some good information in the README.TXT file, which contradicts the manual. The file is right.
Also, download an upgrade. I got 1.02, so if you are below this level, you should get the upgrade. It is free in GAMAPUB on CompuServe, and fixes a few problems, including controlling replay scenarios.
I had trouble getting the CD-ROM's to play right in my multispeed CD-ROM player. It seems the disks have been printed with a multicolor ink, all the way to the hub. Very pretty, and a 9.5 for style, but it seems the printing left an oily film on the CD-ROM's near the hub that makes the drive slip. I fixed it by doing this procedure...
WARNING! This is a dangerous way to fix a slippery CD-ROM, so proceed at your own risk. Do not do this if you have no problem reading the CD-ROM drives. Okay?
Take a pink eraser, one with no grit in it, and erase around the hub area. Most pencils have such an eraser at the end. The eraser will get black from the oily ink, so erase some clean paper to clean the eraser itself. Do this primarily on the painted side, although I got some oil from the other side as well. Never touch the data area of the CD-ROM with anything, just the hub area, which is only about 1 inch in diameter. When you are done, be sure to get all eraser crumbs off the CD-ROM. It will be tough, as they love to stick onto the surface, but get them all off and make sure not to scratch the data area.
