Riven: The Sequel to Myst Hints

How do I get to the walkway over the lake?

  • 1 of 11: There's one walkway that you can only get to by climbing the cone-shaped "tower."
  • 2 of 11: You'll first need to figure out how to get to the various destinations along the lake -- including the tower.
  • 3 of 11: You can only get to the top of the tower when the base is a solid surface, rather than a ring.
  • 4 of 11: The controls to fill in the center of the ring are elsewhere on this island.
  • 5 of 11: You need to walk across the walkways over the forest to find the controls to the tower.
  • 6 of 11: There is a hilltop at the end of one of those walkways which contains some kind of booth.  Enter it.
  • 7 of 11: Sit on the chair in that booth.
  • 8 of 11: Pull the lever on your left to raise the chair.
  • 9 of 11: And then pull the lever on the right to activate the tower.
  • 10 of 11: You can now go back to the tower, and you should find a chain hanging over the center of the tower.  Pull on the chain, and a bar will appear.
  • 11 of 11: Click on the chain, and you will be taken to the top of the tower, which opens up onto the walkway over the lake.
