  • 5 of 13: The stairs have several key pieces of evidence.
  • 6 of 13: Notice the slick spots and two items glimmering there.
  • 7 of 13: Pick up the two items.  Examine the unusual spot.
  • 8 of 13: Talk to Needhem once you have seen the blood.
  • 9 of 13: He will recount his experience to you.
  • 10 of 13: When finished, keep pressing him for more details, especially about the "splash".
  • 11 of 13: When he pinpoints the exact location of the splash, use the grappling hook.
  • 12 of 13: Pocket the murder weapon.
  • 13 of 13: Holmes and Watson can leave via the street once you have picked up the gun.
