Riddle of the Sphinx Hints

What do I do in the side chamber?

  • 1 of 8: There are six gauges on the wall to the right.  Do they look familiar?
  • 2 of 8: You should recognize them from the Flume Scroll.
  • 3 of 8: Experiment with the valves at the top and bottom of each cylinder.
  • 4 of 8: You will need more information than is contained in just the Flume Scroll.
  • 5 of 8: The rest of the information you need can be found in the large room, around the Sacred Pool.
  • 6 of 8: Once you have obtained this information, use it -- in combination with the information from the Flume Scroll -- to set each gauge to its proper level.
  • 7 of 8: The settings for the six gauges (specifying how many circles should be showing in the white area) are Easter Island: 1; Bermuda: 3; Maya: 4; Atlantis: 2; Stonehenge: 5; Giza: 0.
  • 8 of 8: When you have set all of the gauges properly, go back and check the Sacred Pool.  It should now be possible to open all the barred doors inside the pool.
