Riddle of the Sphinx Hints

How do I pick up the tablets without dying?

  • 1 of 10: Whenever there are two tablets to choose from, one is okay to pick up and one is deadly.
  • 2 of 10: Did you notice anything different between the two types of tablets?
  • 3 of 10: Listen to the Translation Tape for a clue.
  • 4 of 10: The Translation Tape tells us there is information on the Translation Scroll about the deadly tablets.
  • 5 of 10: Down the right side of the Translation Scroll are pictures of each of the six tablets.
  • 6 of 10: Some of the tablets shown on the scroll have three scarabs (one in each corner), and some do not.
  • 7 of 10: When playing the game, you'll notice that every time there is a choice between two tablets, one tablet will have scarabs and one will not.
  • 8 of 10: When you choose a tablet, pay attention to whether or not it has scarabs in the corners -- and whether or not it was deadly. 
  • 9 of 10: With that in mind, examine the Translation Scroll again.
  • 10 of 10: The Translation Scroll shows diagrams of all the deadly tablets.
