Riddle of the Sphinx Hints

Moving about the screen

  • Movement in ROTS is a combination of screen-to-screen movement, as well as 360-degree panoramas, or "VR"s.  Be careful that you don't make yourself dizzy by spinning around too much -- especially when looking up or down.  The speed at which you rotate can be controlled from the Options screen.

The incremental steps as you move from screen to screen are often very small.  While this presents a great opportunity to look at all of the fascinating scenery that makes up ROTS, it can also become quite tedious when traversing long paths.  Watch for "warps" (indicated by a special "arrow" cursor), which can take you greater distances in a single click once you have visited those locations.

Don't forget about looking up and down.  There are some cases where clues or objects will not be immediately apparent within the normal visible window (e.g., there's an item laying on the ground).
