Riddle of the Sphinx Hints

What can I learn from looking out Horus's window?

  • 1 of 9: First, make sure you are seeing stars.
  • 2 of 9: Today, the constellation you can see is Crater.
  • 3 of 9: In the year 10,500 B. C., it would not be possible to see Crater from the same window.
  • 4 of 9: Can you think of a way to figure out which constellation would've been outside the window back then?
  • 5 of 9: Think back to the charts in the desk at Gil's camp.
  • 6 of 9: See if you can correlate the constellations to those charts.
  • 7 of 9: Find Crater on the present day chart, then look in the same spot on the chart from 10,500 B. C..
  • 8 of 9: The constellation you see in that spot is the constellation that Horus would've seen.
  • 9 of 9: The constellation is Orion.  (If you haven't figured out yet, why this is important, don't worry about it.  You'll know why this is important later.)
