Riddle of the Sphinx Hints
How do I open the door to Primitive Chamber II?
of 19: Examine the door closely.
of 19: The door has two chains at the top.
of 19: Where have you seen a door like this one before?
of 19: There is a door like this one at the beginning of the Queen's Corridor. (Enter from the Queen's Chamber; turn right into the Queen's Corridor. Turn to the left and go straight across the room with the stone pillars.)
of 19: The other door is open.
of 19: Go inside the open door and look around.
of 19: The statue at the end of the room is holding a sceptre.
of 19: Take the sceptre and see if you can find a use for it.
of 19: Look just to the right of the door (while still standing inside the room).
of 19: Insert the sceptre into the box.
of 19: Pull the sceptre down.
of 19: What happens to the door?
of 19: If this door closes...
of 19: ...perhaps it counter-balances another door.
of 19: But first you'll need to get out of this room.
of 19: After the door is closed, it's impossible to leave the room.
of 19: So, it's a matter of timing.
of 19: You'll need to exit the room quickly, just as the door is closing.
of 19: The door to Primitive Chamber II will now be open.
