Road to India ran flawlessly on my system, so I cannot help you with problems you experience on your computer.
If you are having techincal problems, here are some general suggestions for this and other games:
1) Make sure your system meets the minimum system requirements for the game (especially the amount of RAM and video RAM)
2) Disable anti-virus software, scheduled tasks, and other programs before starting the game
3) Obtain the latest drivers for your audio and video cards from their manufacturers
4) Disable "autorun" on your CD drive
5) Run Scandisk and Defrag on your hard drive
6) Play the game after a fresh reboot
