Road to India Hints
What is the solution to the door puzzle?
of 12: The object is to rearrange the 6 tiles by moving them to new positions. When finished, the lines and dots on the tiles should connect fluidly, as if they were hand-written in ink. If you exit the puzzle before finishing, the tiles will remain where you left them.
of 12: Click on the blank spot. Fred comments that there is a piece missing.
of 12: Look at the borders around the tiles. One of them has a wider left border and sits a bit off kilter.
of 12: That tile goes on the very left side. Study the rest. Which one could join with the first tile?
of 12: Continue moving the tiles around until all the lines and designs match up. If you need specific instructions, keep reading.
of 12: The following hints will work if the puzzle has not been touched. Restart or restore to follow them exactly.
of 12: Start by numbering the blocks from 1 to 7 from left to right, including the blank spot. If you have already found the missing tile, leave it in inventory for now while using these hints. Work the rest of the puzzle before inserting it.
of 12: The tile in block 4 should be placed at the start of the sequence (block 1). Select that tile and click on the tile in block 1 to swap their positions.
of 12: Select the tile sitting in block 3 and move it to the empty block. The pattern between tiles 1 and 2 now form a column with three letter "w"s going down.
of 12: Continue moving them until all of the lines and dots connect smoothly.
of 12: The blank, empty spot will eventually remain at the end. Insert the last (missing) piece there.
of 12: If you are having trouble positioning them, load a New Game to start the puzzle from the beginning. Then use this Step-By-Step Solution.
