How do I light the dark areas of Granite House?
1 of 14: You'll need to make a light of some kind.
2 of 14: If you have explored the inside of Granite House, hopefully you have discovered a wooden chest on the floor.
3 of 14: The chest is in the first storage room to the right, after going past Captain Nemo's body.
4 of 14: Click on the chest to open it.
5 of 14: Inside, you will find a shirt, as well as some candle wicks.
6 of 14: The wicks would be perfect, if only you had some kind of candle to put them in.
7 of 14: How were early candles made?
8 of 14: Usually from animal fat.
9 of 14: Combine the wicks with seal fat in inventory to get an oil lamp.
10 of 14: Look at the back of the cavern within Granite House, where Mina says that it is too dark to go.
11 of 14: Can you find any place to set your oil lamp?
12 of 14: Just to the right of the darkness, there is a ledge on the rock that looks as though it has some kind of wax dripping from it.
13 of 14: There was probably a candle or oil lamp there before.
14 of 14: Place your oil lamp on that spot. It will automatically ignite, and provide light for the entire back caverns.
