What am I supposed to do on the beach?
1 of 9: In the early stages of the game, you have two principal goals on the beach: explore and gather.
2 of 9: Exploration is a necessary part of the gathering. It will also come in handy later, when you need to return to the beach area.
3 of 9: The primary activity in the beach area, early in the game, is to find and retrieve everything that's not nailed down.
4 of 9: Within the first 5 or 10 minutes of the game, you should already have made a significant contribution to your inventory.
5 of 9: Be sure to look everywhere -- including up and down.
6 of 9: Look for telltale signs of where things might be (e.g., under the sand).
7 of 9: Look for area where the cursor may show signs of activity, even though you can't do anything there yet.
8 of 9: Once you have left the beach area, you can come back repeatedly for most of the game. Only at one point in the game will it be impossible to return to the beach, and even that is simply a puzzle that you will need to solve.
9 of 9: Remember that your early tasks are to find food for Mina, find materials to make a fire, and get her to eat enough to restore her health.
