What is the exact solution to the puzzle?

  • 1 of 15: It is difficult to provide an exact solution, and impossible if the puzzle is not in its original (reset) state.
  • 2 of 15: You can reset the puzzle by moving away from it at any point, and returning to it.
  • 3 of 15: Since the pieces that are already in place cannot be moved to another location, the most crucial step is to place the 5 fallen pieces in their correct position.
  • 4 of 15: Number the fallen pieces 1-5, from left to right.
  • 5 of 15: Put (drag) piece #1 onto the empty space at the upper left corner of the puzzle.
  • 6 of 15: Put piece #2 in the empty space at the upper right corner of the puzzle.
  • 7 of 15: Put piece #3 in the empty space in the second row.
  • 8 of 15: Put piece #4 in the empty space in the third row.
  • 9 of 15: Put piece #5 in the empty space in the bottom row.
  • 10 of 15: All pieces are now in place, and the only thing required to solve the puzzle is to rotate the pieces appropriately.
  • 11 of 15: The following is a final solution to the rotation of the pieces.  For each row, the piece and the number of rotations is indicated as follows:  piece-rotations.  Thus, 3-2 means that piece 3 (in a given row) must be rotated (clicked on) two times.
  • 12 of 15: Row 1:  1-3, 2-3, 3-3, 4-2
  • 13 of 15: Row 2:  1-3, 2-1, 3-2, 4-1
  • 14 of 15: Row 3:  1-2, 2-0, 3-1, 4-3
  • 15 of 15: Row 4:  1-0, 2-2, 3-1, 4-2
