Return To Mysterious Island 2: Mina's Fate Hints
How can I make the bulbs?
of 16: Head to the kiln, grabbing the empty coconut shell you will find on the way. It's the same one Jep used earlier.
of 16: We're going to need to procure some tools in order to blow glass. The fourth page of the journal has some tips on this.
of 16: The long tube we need is something Slugger left us. He left it us a LONG time ago, though.
of 16: Remember that rifle he was protecting at the start of the game? Grab it, if you didn't back then, and use it with the kiln, then use the tongs to take it out and click it onto the anvil.
of 16: Now take the hardy from the block to the left of the furnace and Mina will let you know that you need to sharpen it.
of 16: Now we need to use the hardy with the rifle twice, and place the tube in the water to cool it. Now, grab it again.
of 16: Now head to the workshop and place the crucible back into the kiln.
of 16: Put the shards of violet glass inside the crucible and stoke the fire with the bellows.
of 16: Once the glass has melted, use the tube with the glass to blow it, to make a violet bottle.
of 16: We need to make one more of these now.
of 16: The fourth, and ninth pages of the journal will give you the clues you need.
of 16: To make a vitrifiable mixture, we're going to need to procure some charcoal, sand, quicklime, and soda ash, which is made from burned seaweed.
of 16: The quicklime can be made by putting your hydrated lime in the kiln, and the burned seaweed is made by doing the same thing with some seaweed from under the water near the lake.
of 16: You should already have the other items by now, but if you don't, the sand was left from where you separated it from the wheat earlier, and the charcoal was picked up right at the start of the Inlet section when we were getting Jep's health up to help Mina get across.
of 16: Use the items on each other in your inventory, then use the mixture with the crucible and toke the fire with the bellows.
of 16: Once it melts, use the tube again to get the second bottle.
