Return To Mysterious Island 2: Mina's Fate Hints
What should I do with the terracotta square puzzle?
of 15: First off, the overall aim of this puzzle is to make the missing tiles -- there are sixteen in total, and we only have one in the board already, so we're going to need to make a total of fifteen tiles.
of 15: You're going to need to scour the beach area to find a mold. There is one there, and it's the right one you need.
of 15: It's green, and made of crystal. And, you'll find it if you turn to the right from the cliff with the face carved on it.
of 15: Use some of the clay from the muddy lake (if you don't have any, zap back there and grab some real quick) on the mold, and you'll get a plaque of six unfired tokens. They need to be heated in the kiln in the same way as those containers we made earlier.
of 15: However, that's only six of 'em. We need more. There must be another mold somewhere.
of 15: You're going to need to use Jep to find it.
of 15: Send him up the palm tree on the beach, and then have him click when the arrow is in the green portion of the moving bar to make the jump safely.
of 15: If you look up, you should see the mold. Click on the vine to move it and you can grab the mold.
of 15: Use some clay on it to make the other nine tokens we need.
of 15: Now just head to the workshop and use the six tokens, then the nine tokens, with the kiln, making sure to remove them as soon as they change color. If you overheat them, you can make more and try again.
of 15: Now, head back to the puzzle in the sand at the inlet, and solve the puzzle.
of 15: You're going to want to place all of the fifteen tiles into the slots that contain the indentations shown beneath -- this one's kinda tricky to explain.
of 15: Look at your tiles you've made -- see how they have the marks on them? This works in an almost-similar way to the components puzzle -- you need to place them so that they all match up with the indentations in the brown niches where each tile is to be placed.
of 15: The carved-out corners of the tiles help you to determine which way to orient them.
of 15: If you put them all in properly, you'll hear that weird disembodied voice you heard earlier, and a young sprout will appear, which you should grab as your reward for solving this tricky puzzle.
