The Slot Machine

  • 1 of 11: Playing the slot machine is not necessary to finishing the game.
  • 2 of 11: If you're determined to play, save the game before starting in case you run out of quarters.
  • 3 of 11: Look around for a clue.
  • 4 of 11: In particular, look at the children's book on the chair.
  • 5 of 11: "A is for Apple, B is for Banana, C is for Lemon...."
  • 6 of 11: Put a quarter in the machine and pull the lever.
  • 7 of 11: If the first picture is a green apple, press the left hold button.  If the second picture is a banana, press the middle hold button.  If the third picture is a lemon, press the right hold button.  The correct fruits must appear in the exact order to win.
  • 8 of 11: Pull the lever again.  Check again for the correct pictures.  Push the appropriate hold button if you see one.  Continue until the lever won't work anymore.
  • 9 of 11: If you'd like to try again, put in another quarter.
  • 10 of 11: When you run out of quarters, you can either restore your game, or you can find more inside the barrel.
  • 11 of 11: When you win, the machine give you a postcard, with the following written on it: "JACKPOT!  You've won a shot at our jackpot draw.  Send this code word "Scarcefreak" to: Trent Rampant, Daydream, V. Kyrkogatan 1, S-903 29 Umea, Sweden.  The draw is once a month.  Daydream takes no responsibility for the quality or nature of items won.  Ho! Ho!  (All names will be held confidentially by Daydream Software and will not be supplied to other companies for mailing or other promotional purposes)".
