Sam & Max: Season 1 Hints

The Issues

  • 1 of 8: When you ask Lincoln for his stance on any issue, he glances down, then gives the same answer: his campaign slogan. Looks like he's reading something. I wonder what?
  • 2 of 8: There's an easel to the right of the platform with a bunch of cue cards, and Lincoln reads whatever card is on top. So all you have to do to change what he says is change the cue cards.
  • 3 of 8: Look through the cue cards (by repeatedly clicking on them) to see if there are any you can use.
  • 4 of 8: Nope; they're all just blandly weird, and using them will get a puzzled reaction that doesn't change the polls. You need some new, more objectionable cue cards.
  • 5 of 8: There's an easel full of "pithy campaign slogans" in the Oval Office, at the bottom of the screen next to the television camera.
  • 6 of 8: One of these is useful, but you'll need to find some more. Check The Neighborhood for any signs, posters, or whatnot that you can take.
  • 7 of 8: You can't take the street signs, but there are posters at the end of the alley next to Sybil's place -- and there's a new store next to Bosco's with a big sign out front.
  • 8 of 8: Take the signs you found and put them on the easel next to the platform, then flip through them to put the one you want on top. Ask Lincoln about the issue you want to go with that phrase, and see what happens. Read on to find out what sign goes with what issue.
