Sam & Max: Season 1 Hints
How do I knock some sense into Specs?
of 14: First, you need to learn how to jog someone out of a hypnotic state; you need a psychotherapist for that.
of 14: Go left of the DeSoto to find Sybil's office and talk to her if you haven't already.
of 14: You can't use the same tactic you used on Peepers, unfortunately; his glasses protect him from the tear gas, and if you try to use the boxing glove on him he just runs away. You're going to need to get the drop on him.
of 14: Did you notice that one of his goofy paintings is directly under your open office window?
of 14: If you could get him to move over there, you could drop something on him. Aha! But how can we get him to move?
of 14: His catch phrase is some help here.
of 14: "You made me mess up!" he whines. Clearly, he takes pride in making sure his graffiti is untouched.
of 14: If you could mess up the painting under your window, maybe he'd run over there to fix it. What have you got that could tamper with his art?
of 14: There's a stray can of spray paint sitting on the fender of the car behind your DeSoto. Head down the alley next to Sybil's place and move right to see it.
of 14: Use the spray paint on the portrait under your window, then go to your office and look out the window. Perfect! Now what shall we drop?
of 14: Look around your office for something heavy and portable to drop on him.
of 14: Not Max, and not the dead plant, and not the cheese. What else is there?
of 14: How about that bright blue bowling ball over by the filing cabinet? (Yes, I know; in real life it would kill him. But this is just a cartoon.)
of 14: Pick up the bowling ball and look out the window; then, when you're looking at Specs, go into inventory and use the bowling ball on him.
