Sam & Max: Season 2 Hints

The Listening Mariachi

  • 1 of 8: He's totally committed to the birthday gig, which consists of listening through time for people to say "birthday" and then going there to sing to them.
  • 2 of 8: If you could go somewhere where you know he's going to show up, you could grab the shuttle while he's singing, and he'd be stranded. Heh heh heh.
  • 3 of 8: Have you figured out how the time cards work? When you scan someone with Bosco's device, the time card you get shows the time and place of that person's birthday, which is where T.H.E.M. are going to show up. But when you go there, the mariachis have already been and gone.
  • 4 of 8: On the other hand, there's one person who is in two places -- and in one of them, he's next to a device that you can use to change the date.
  • 5 of 8: Remember the Oval Office calendar from Sam & Max: Season 1? If you move the post-it labeled "Today!" the actual date changes.
  • 6 of 8: So look at the time cards again. The one for The Office - 2008 shows Superball's birthday --
  • 7 of 8: -- 0906, or September 6.
  • 8 of 8: Now go to The White House - 1963 and change the date to Friday, September 6. Talk to Superball to make him say that it's his birthday, and when the mariachi shows up, go back to the shuttle and head for home.
