Sam & Max: Season 3 Hints

How do I get Sybil to use the treadmill?

  • 1 of 8: Because of Sam's uncensored thoughts about her grotesquely swollen body, she interprets any request to control Max's legs by using the treadmill as an insult about her weight.
  • 2 of 8: You need to convince her that Sam really does understand what it feels like to be an incipient mommy, which is going to be difficult given that he can't lie at the moment.
  • 3 of 8: Actually, it'd be enough if she thought he understood what it means to be a parent.
  • 4 of 8: Have you been in the box room yet? That's the tube in the legs room with a picture of a cardboard box over it.
  • 5 of 8: The box room is full of leftovers from previous games, all of which mean something to Max and some of which Sam can't touch without being turned into something else (there's that transformation thing at work). But there's one that means more to Sam than to Max --
  • 6 of 8: -- and that's the roach farm, which is on top of a shelf at the left (which holds stuff from the very first Sam & Max game). Awww, how cute! For a roach, anyway.
  • 7 of 8: Sam has a paternal sort of affection for the golden cockroach that just hatched out, to the extent that he calls it Sam Junior. If you could show that roach to Sybil, that would do the job.
  • 8 of 8: Once you have Sam Junior, go back to the legs room and show him to Sybil. This will knock her out of her self-centered little hissy fit and get her on the treadmill at last.
