The Secrets of Atlantis Hints

Sudoku Starter Hints

  • 1 of 16: It's easiest to start with the 3 X 3 square that's the middle one on the top row, since it only has three symbols missing.
  • 2 of 16: Start in the bottom left slot. Click on it once to get the first symbol in the series. But looking just to the right, you'll see that that symbol is already in the same square (and the same row), so click again to get the next symbol.
  • 3 of 16: You'll see that it's already in your square (two tiles over and one tile up), so click again for the third symbol.
  • 4 of 16: It's in the same row, over to the right, so click again for the next symbol.
  • 5 of 16: It's in the same column, a bit above where you're at, so click again.
  • 6 of 16: Now look carefully around. Is the diamond-shaped symbol with a few lines inside it anywhere else on the row, column, or square that you're on?
  • 7 of 16: No, it isn't, so that symbol is a possibility. Before you assume it's the right one, though, you need to try the other possibilities. (Be sure to remember what this one looks like so you can go back to it later.)
  • 8 of 16: Click again on the symbol you've been changing to get a triangular pennant-like symbol.
  • 9 of 16: That's no good, since it's a ways to the left in the same row, so click again.
  • 10 of 16: The arrow-like symbol that's next is no good since it's right above you, in the same column. Click again.
  • 11 of 16: The next symbol is no good since it's a ways below you in the same column. Click again.
  • 12 of 16: The final symbol is no good since it's in the same square you're in. That settles it, then!
  • 13 of 16: Click on the symbol a few more times to get it back to that diamond-shaped one that we now know *has* to be the right symbol for that slot.
  • 14 of 16: Moving up to the middle slot in the same square, you should be able to apply the same process to discover that it has to be the sixth symbol in the series (the triangular pennant-like symbol).
  • 15 of 16: For similar reasons, the top right slot in that square needs to be the eighth symbol in the series. (Note that you don't even need to check row and column on that one, since it's the only one remaining in the square that you're working on.)
