How can I avoid being killed by the snake?
1 of 11: There's no way to take an aloe leaf without being bitten.
2 of 11: So you'll need to have a way already set up to cure yourself of the snake's poison.
3 of 11: Notice that if you die here, you're reset back to the point just before you asked the wandering herbalist about the aloe leaves.
4 of 11: Have you talked to him about every topic?
5 of 11: He says that he makes a good poultice that's very effective against snake bites.
6 of 11: He also says that he'll trade you some of it if you can offer him an interesting item.
7 of 11: Look through your inventory for something he might like.
8 of 11: How about that pearl you still have from India?
9 of 11: Click that on him to find that he does like it, and he'll give you a herb poultice for it.
10 of 11: Now go back to the aloe plant and click on it.
11 of 11: You'll immediately pass out, but Kate will apply the poultice to you, saving your life.
