The Secrets of Atlantis Hints

How can I open the stone door on the entry area's back wall?

  • 1 of 16: There are no controls or other interactive spots on the door, so maybe it's opened remotely.
  • 2 of 16: Look around at the temple entry area's other features.
  • 3 of 16: Check out what's on the walls above the two little pools of water.
  • 4 of 16: The carving of a circle that has eight symbols in it is what's used to open the stone door in the back wall, but you don't know how to work the gimmick yet.
  • 5 of 16: Find someone who does.
  • 6 of 16: Captain Blackwood was in here with Elliot earlier, and was the only one who managed to escape when a poison gas trap was triggered. Maybe he can help you with this.
  • 7 of 16: After curing him, talk to him until he joins your group, then return to the temple entry area.
  • 8 of 16: Right after you go inside, he'll say what to do in order to reveal the hidden door (meaning the puzzle door that's behind the stone door).
  • 9 of 16: He mentions the sign of the trident, which you'll find is the top symbol on the circular wall carving.
  • 10 of 16: If you check it, you'll find that the trident symbol is now interactive, but clicking on it won't do anything.
  • 11 of 16: Remember that Blackwood said to use your medallion on it.
  • 12 of 16: So get your bronze medallion from inventory and click it on the trident symbol.
  • 13 of 16: That turns the circle 45 degrees, but nothing happens to the stone door.
  • 14 of 16: Again, remember what Blackwood said. (No, there's no way to get him to repeat it.)
  • 15 of 16: He said to get the trident pointing down, so use your medallion on it again.
  • 16 of 16: As you'll be able to see in the cut-scene, that opened the stone door, revealing an inner door with a puzzle on it.
