The Secrets of Atlantis Hints
How can I solve the puzzle that's behind the stone door?
of 8: Have you tried clicking on the puzzle's pieces?
of 8: They don't work at first. The puzzle appears to be stuck.
of 8: After you get the puzzle going, try seeing how all the pieces move.
of 8: This is a variation on the standard sliding-tile puzzle in which the wider, flatter pieces can only move left and right, and the other pieces can only move up and down.
of 8: If a piece has space to move in both of its possible directions, click on the end of the piece that's closest to the way you want it to go. For instance, if a vertically-moving piece has empty space above and below it, and you want to move it up, then click near the top of it.
of 8: Your goal is to move the piece with the ship on it over to the slot that's sticking out past the right side of the puzzle.
of 8: To get the ship there, you're going to have to shift the other pieces around so that it can go all the way across. Remember that the ship piece, like all pieces of its type, can only move left and right, not up and down at all.
of 8: Below is a three-part graphical solution that shows all of the moves necessary to solve the puzzle from its starting configuration.
