The Secrets of Atlantis Hints

How can I fix the elevators so I can get to the 14th floor?

  • 1 of 10: First, find out why the elevators are acting up all of a sudden.
  • 2 of 10: The elevator repairs that the woman mentions aren't ever going to happen on their own, and you'll need to see about doing them yourself.
  • 3 of 10: Go down to the basement (floor -2) and look around.
  • 4 of 10: You'll find a locked door about halfway down the hall that's next to the elevator hall. That must be the door to the elevator maintenance room.
  • 5 of 10: In the maintenance room, turn left to find that the control panel you need to fiddle with is closed and padlocked. Furthermore, it's totally non-interactive, meaning you can't do anything to it directly.
  • 6 of 10: As it turns out, the panel will be open when you come back after getting two things that you'll need to use with the panel after it's open. You can't know what those things are or why you'll need them yet, so this is some rather poor game design, but that's the way it is.
  • 7 of 10: You need to go get a security key and a list of floor numbers. You'll see why you need them later on, after you get them and come back.
  • 8 of 10: After you've gotten those two items, go down to the basement and move around to the door you unlocked earlier. On the way, you should see a brief cut-scene of someone going through another door. (No, you can't follow him.)
  • 9 of 10: Go through the maintenance room door and turn left to find that the control panel you need to fiddle with is *finally* open (and partially sabotaged).
  • 10 of 10: All you have to do after that is enter the basement's open elevator, and you'll be taken to the 14th floor at last.
