The Secrets of Atlantis Hints
How can I win at this weird game that Mr. Foster insists I play?
1 of 11: You move by picking up your pawn (the five-sided piece that starts out nearest you) and then clicking it on a white square that's corner-adjacent to the one you picked your pawn up from.
2 of 11: NOTE: You'll only be able to put your pawn down on legal-move squares, so after you pick it up, it's easy to see what all moves are currently possible.
3 of 11: The scarab piece will get to move onto any adjacent square right after each move you make.
4 of 11: Your goal is to go around and grab up the three large jade pieces in the corners without the scarab piece being able to capture you.
5 of 11: If it does capture you, you'll have to talk to Mr. Foster to get the board reset so you can try again.
6 of 11: Experiment with moves to see how you can get the scarab piece to fall far enough behind you that you can capture the jade pieces without getting caught on the way back out of their corners.
7 of 11: Following is one strategy that always works. (If you've already started a game, get captured and have the game reset.)
8 of 11: Start by moving your pawn forward (up) once so that it's in the center white square, next to two little walls.
9 of 11: Then move left twice in order to capture the leftmost jade piece.
10 of 11: To get from there to the middle jade piece, go right, down, right, up, right, up, left, and up. (Note that this only works because the scarab makes a dumb choice at the end of that sequence of moves.)
11 of 11: To capture the final jade piece, go down, left, down, down, right, up, right, and right.
