Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory Hints
What's the best way to take care of the guards inside the penthouse?
of 10: Once you're inside on the penthouse's main floor, there'll be only two guards to worry about.
of 10: One of them is patrolling the area between the laundry room door and the patio door.
of 10: The best place to get him from is the side area in the kitchen near the patio door (the little area with the crawl space in it).
of 10: NOTE: If you entered the penthouse through the elevator, you'll have to sneak past this guard before you can get to the above-mentioned side area. While he's in the kitchen with his back to you, use the OCP on the overhead light in the hallway and then sneak up to the large potted plant and use Back to Wall to hide there as the guard goes past. Then sneak on back to the side area. (If the outside patio guard sees you, hide Back to Wall in the side area until he leaves.)
of 10: Once you're there, wait for the guard to walk over, then hit the nearby hanging light with the OCP.
of 10: Then hit the guard with a quick airfoil round and drag his body into the darkest corner in your little side area, or take him back behind the long kitchen counter. (Hopefully, the patio guard outside won't see your target go down. If he does, try again when he's not near the glass door.)
of 10: The other guard inside the penthouse is leaning against a large pillar down the hall from the kitchen area.
of 10: You can try to sneak up on him and grab him, but this is hard to do without being seen, so hit him with an airfoil round or something.
of 10: The nearby infrared camera probably won't spot the body, but if you don't want to risk it, then use the OCP on the hallway's overhead light, whistle to get the guard to come over toward you, and then hit him with a sticky shocker (an airfoil round will somehow cause the alarm to be sounded).
of 10: Now you're free to head upstairs and look around, watching out for the infrared camera that constantly scans the stairway.
