Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory Hints
How do I get past the guard-filled street I start on?
of 9: When you emerge from the alley you start in, you'll see a guard walking down the street away from you, plus a technician working on a wall panel in a nearby corner.
of 9: Use the pistol to shoot out the nearby street lamp that's lighting up your end of the street.
of 9: That'll draw the technician away from his panel, allowing you to access it. (It's the first phone tap for the opportunity objective.)
of 9: Then climb the pole that's near the panel and use the wire to zip across the street to a spot near the other end.
of 9: Shimmy around to where you can climb up on the small ledge, then move to the back and jump up in order to grab onto a long pipe on the wall.
of 9: Use it to shimmy all the way down to the end of the street and drop down onto another high-up ledge.
of 9: Use the OCP on the nearby street lamp, then quickly climb down the pipe that's next to the other end of your ledge. (Note that you may have to drop down onto the awning just past the pipe before you can actually grab hold of the pipe and climb down it.)
of 9: Once you're on the street, quickly find a large square opening in it that you can drop down (it's near the street lamp that you just OCP-ed).
of 9: Go down the smelly tunnel until you get to a trap door that opens into the basement of a laundry.
