Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory Hints
How can I make it through the laundry area undetected?
of 9: The first problem is the guy in the basement. He'll turn the lights on soon after he stops talking.
of 9: If you're fast enough, you can get up behind him and grab him right before he turns the lights on.
of 9: However, it's a lot easier to whistle at him right before he turns the lights on. (Note that you'll have to do it from not too far away, and when the noisy machine isn't running.)
of 9: He'll be dope enough to come looking for you with his flashlight instead of turning the lights on first, so take the opportunity to sneak around him and out the door.
of 9: Turn off the light in the little hallway (no one will notice) and sneak carefully into the laundry room.
of 9: There's a seated guard over to the left as you enter the room, and there's no way to shoot out or OCP the room's light from where you're at.
of 9: One thing you can do is OCP the fan that's in the middle of the room and then sneak up on the guard as he walks up to the fan to investigate.
of 9: Or instead of sneaking up behind him, sneak past him to the left and OCP the overhead light and make your getaway.
of 9: That's very hard to do on Expert difficulty, but it can be done. However, you may find it easier to sneak along behind the two large laundry baskets, OCP the fan to stop it blowing the sheets, and then sneak behind the sheets to where you can OCP the light.
