Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory Hints
What's the best way to deal with the guards in the lobby?
of 8: After you leave the laundry room and go through the door that leads to the lobby, look for a light switch on the wall to the left of you.
of 8: Someone in the area will always notice the light and come turn it back on, so it's really best to find the light on the wall (ahead and to the left) and shoot it out.
of 8: Then sneak over to the back corner of the nearby desk area and wait for one of the patrolling guards to sit down on the chair for a bit. When he does, grab him!
of 8: Leave him in the dark area behind the chair and find the door that's a short distance down the hall to the left.
of 8: Enter the maintenance closet and use the switch near the light to turn it off.
of 8: Go back to the door you entered through and wait just outside the doorway until you see the other patrolling guard off to your left near the desk.
of 8: When he does, whistle to get his attention, then quickly close the door and stand behind it with thermal vision on. When the guard is on the other side of the door, bash him! Dump him where you left the first guard.
of 8: All that's left in the lobby now is a civilian who's usually up on a small scaffolding structure working on something. You could just leave him be, or you could wait until he enters the maintenance closet and ambush him. (If he never comes on his own, open the closet door that's nearest his work area and wait.)
