Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory Hints
How do I get through the pool room?
of 9: First of all, be careful when you tear through the police tape and cut the material past them -- a guard may appear at the other end of the hall and see you. (OCP the spotlight on the floor to help hide from him.)
of 9: Sneak into the pool room and wait until the two guards start talking on the other side of the pool, then climb down the nearby ladder to enter the pool.
of 9: Sneak as carefully as you can over to the generator on the left and pierce it to permanently turn off most of the lights in the room.
of 9: Then exit the pool via ladder or mantling and make your way over to the other side of the room, where the exit door is.
of 9: ALTERNATIVE: When you enter the pool room, OCP the overhead fluorescent light on the right, then crouch-run across the room to where you can climb up a ladder and walk along some boards. You can OCP the generator in the pool from up there or the lights near the exit door before you drop down and leave.
of 9: Before you go through the exit door, OCP the light on the left wall past it in case a civilian janitor is working in the hallway (if he is, wait in darkness in the pool room until he returns to the steam room).
of 9: Once you reach the steam room, wait until the two guards walk over next to each other and start talking, then gas them with a sticky camera.
of 9: There's also a civilian who likes to sit around in the steam room when he's not sweeping in the hall leading to the pool room. If he's seated, you'll be able to sneak across to the exit without him seeing you.
of 9: ALTERNATIVE: Instead of taking down anyone in the steam room, you could sneak over to the steam valve that's to the right and use it to steam up the place if it's not already steamy -- the steam acts like a strong smoke cover. Turn on your thermal goggles to help avoid bumping into people as you make your way around.
