Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory Hints
How can I handle these super-alert guards past the steam rooms?
1 of 7: It's not going to be easy. Two of the guards in the area are I-SDF assault troops, who are basically Japanese versions of yourself.
2 of 7: The easiest way to deal with them is to shoot out nearby lights and then hit them with nonlethal projectiles.
3 of 7: The first one patrols the area just past the second steam room. Instead of shooting out a light, you can hide in the darkness behind the small desk and get him when he walks by. (There's a candle nearby you can blow out before he shows up in order to help with the darkness.)
4 of 7: Hide his body behind the desk, then head down the hallway.
5 of 7: When you find a path split, take the left path and blow out the candle, then hide in a dark spot near the doorway you just came through.
6 of 7: The other I-SDF guard should eventually notice that the candle is out and come to relight it. Hit him quickly with a nonlethal projectile or Alternate Fire attack and drag his body back to where you dumped the first one.
7 of 7: That's all the guards you need to take down in this area. Now figure out how you're going to get to Shetland's meeting.
