Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory Hints

I'm past the war room's sealed doors, but where can I overhear the meeting?

  • 1 of 14: The meeting is inside the "tempest-hardened" cube in the center of the area, but there's no clear way to get in there.
  • 2 of 14: If you explore around, you'll find that you have to reach the back of the cube and jump up to pull yourself into a ceiling area.
  • 3 of 14: Now to get back there without either of the guards or cameras seeing you.
  • 4 of 14: You can sneak back there when the patrolling guard isn't nearby, using the OCP on the camera that's along your chosen route -- but as usual, I advocate eliminating the guards to make things easier.
  • 5 of 14: NOTE: It's very hard to tell due to night vision not working so well in this area, but those cameras only scan the floor that's between them and the back of the area. You can walk up directly underneath them from the area near the front doors without being seen.
  • 6 of 14: To find the first guard, go right after entering the area and peek around the corner.
  • 7 of 14: When the guard stops in the hallway and is facing you, he's past the camera's scanning range, so hit him with a nonlethal projectile. You don't even have to move the body afterwards. Easy!
  • 8 of 14: NOTE: If the guard isn't in the right position, just wait until he is.
  • 9 of 14: After he's down, move up until you're almost under the camera in that hallway. OCP it and crouch-run quickly forward and into the back right corner where it's dark.
  • 10 of 14: The second guard is standing near the cube room on the opposite side from you, so just projectile him to take him down and you're done de-guarding the area.
  • 11 of 14: The ceiling access you need is in the middle of the back of the cube, near the second guard. You can jump up and grab either side, but it's easier to climb up on the right side since that's where the crawl space you need is.
  • 12 of 14: Crawl along it to the end and then wait to overhear the meeting.
  • 13 of 14: When it's over, Grim will ask you to use your EEV on the general's laptop, which is the computer screen below and to the right of the large blue screens on the wall. (Doing so won't seem to do anything, but it still fulfills a primary objective.)
  • 14 of 14: Then wait some more for another call from Otomo and the arrival of your next primary objective, which is to wreck his I-SDF servers.
