Listen to the individuals that you encounter
As you move through the game, you will frequently encounter other individuals -- both live, and "apparitions". They all have important messages to convey to you. Listen carefully to them. You will typically receive hints as to what you need to do, or how you need to do it.
It is a good idea to turn on subtitles (from the Main Menu) prior to playing Schizm, to make sure that you don't miss an important clue that might be part of any of these conversations.
