Schizm Hints

How do I move all the spikes out?

  • 1 of 9: You will need to place your lantern on the pedestal that is facing the 14 spikes.  Look for the pedestal to the right of the spikes, behind an organic structure at the end of a short walkway.
  • 2 of 9: The lantern can be rotated to point from one end of the row of spikes to the other.
  • 3 of 9: When you shine the lantern (by pressing the button on the top), its light will shine on a spike on the wall opposite.
  • 4 of 9: When one spike changes its position, the spikes on either side of it also change their positions -- even when you shine the light at the very end of the line of spikes.
  • 5 of 9: Beginning with the spikes at the far right, work your way across the row of spikes, to the left-most spike.  Don't worry if you make a mistake, just shine the light again, in the same position, to reverse the previous move.
  • 6 of 9: Because three spikes are affected with each flash of light, concentrate your attention of the spike to the far right of the three affected spikes.
  • 7 of 9: Start by shining your light on the spike that is the second from the right.  This will move the far right spike into position.
  • 8 of 9: Next rotate the light so that it will shine on the third spike from the right.  This will cause the second spike from the right to move into position.
  • 9 of 9: Continue working across the row of spikes, and continue to concentrate on the far-right of the three spikes affected by the light.  Only shine the light when it's needed to draw the far-right spike out.
