Numbering the spikes from 1 through 14, starting at the left, move the pointer on the lantern to the following positions, and click the button on the lantern each time: 2-3-4-5-8-10-11-12-13. This solution will only work when the puzzle is in its initial state, but the puzzle will reset itself if you step away from it and then return.
