Schizm Hints

I've found another control panel, but don't know how to use it. (DVD only)

  • 1 of 18: Between the elevator and the main navigation console, there is another control panel.
  • 2 of 18: What happens when you press the center button?
  • 3 of 18: Notice the series of green flashes in the distance?
  • 4 of 18: First, make sure that you have solved the Telescope puzzle.
  • 5 of 18: The information that you gained from the Telescope puzzle will be needed to solve this puzzle.
  • 6 of 18: Note what happens when you change the settings of the controls and then press the button again.
  • 7 of 18: Each of the controls is responsible for generating a long or a short flash.
  • 8 of 18: The number of controls set will determine how many flashes are produced.
  • 9 of 18: Use the series of flashes discovered through the Telescope to solve this puzzle.
  • 10 of 18: However, the apparition that just appeared told you that things are not as they seem.  In fact, things are almost backwards!
  • 11 of 18: You might want to try inverting the signals you got from the Telescope puzzle.
  • 12 of 18: But what does "inverting" the series mean?
  • 13 of 18: It could mean using it in reverse order.
  • 14 of 18: Or it could mean switching longs to shorts, and vice versa.
  • 15 of 18: Or it could mean BOTH.
  • 16 of 18: Using the series of flashes you discovered through the Telescope, switch "longs" with "shorts", and then take the series in reverse order.
  • 17 of 18: Using this new "series", set the switches on the console appropriately.
  • 18 of 18: You should now be able to solve the Flashing Lights puzzle.
