Schizm Hints

I encountered someone who is asking me for oil.

  • 1 of 15: Even if you do not encounter someone asking for oil, you should still be able to complete this task and he should appear when you're ready to deliver the oil. 
  • 2 of 15: You will need to find a way to obtain oil.
  • 3 of 15: Have you found anyplace where you can obtain some oil?
  • 4 of 15: Find the pear-shaped machine, located on the Living Ship Islands, where Hannah started out the game.
  • 5 of 15: Look carefully at, and around, that machine.
  • 6 of 15: The machine is full of oil.
  • 7 of 15: It appears that it is capable of dispensing oil to you.
  • 8 of 15: However, it won't do it for free.
  • 9 of 15: You will need to "trade" something of value for the oil.
  • 10 of 15: The only thing that the machine will accept is pearls.
  • 11 of 15: Depending on which character you are playing at the time, you may or may not have some pearls in your inventory.
  • 12 of 15: Since it will almost certainly be Sam who originally collects the pearls, it will need to be Sam who trades the pearls for oil.  Slide the marker down the numbers on the center of the machine to request the corresponding units of oil.
  • 13 of 15: The oil will be available in a small bottle at the back of the pear-shaped oil dispenser.
  • 14 of 15: Take the oil to the priest who requested it.
  • 15 of 15: The priest will appear in a side room at the temple.  The room is located at the opposite end of the pool from the Golden Statue.
