How do I operate the control panel just inside the cave entrance?
1 of 20: Immediately after entering the cave, look to the left.
2 of 20: This appears to be some sort of control panel.
3 of 20: Initially, it is not operational.
4 of 20: It is probably "locked", and requires some kind of "key card" to use it.
5 of 20: Have you got anything that looks like it might serve as a "key card"?
7 of 20: Each key card has a unique symbol near the top.
8 of 20: Do the symbols look familiar?
9 of 20: Each one matches an identifying symbol on the two doors on level 3.
10 of 20: The control panel can be used to generate the code to unlock the locked door on level 3, based on information gathered from the unlocked door.
11 of 20: Make sure that you have noted the four symbols on the unlocked door on level 3.
12 of 20: Begin by inserting the key card that matches the unlocked door into the slot at the top of the control panel.
13 of 20: Now, for each of the four rows of symbols, slide the moving window right or left until you match the four symbols on the unlocked door. (Although some symbols appear more than once in the grid, there is only one possible solution that will allow the four windows to display all four symbols from the door.)
14 of 20: Make careful note of the exact position of the four windows, once you have matched the four symbols. Note: the four symbols are not necessarily in a straight line.
15 of 20: The left-most symbol from the door will match a symbol from the top row of the grid on the control panel. The second symbol from the door will match a symbol from the second row; and so on for the last two symbols.
16 of 20: Remove the key card from the slot, and insert the key card containing the symbol that matches the locked door on level 3.
17 of 20: (If the character you are playing is not carrying both key cards, you will have to bring both characters to the control panel to finish solving the puzzle.)
18 of 20: Now move the four windows to the exact same positions as they were for the first key card.
19 of 20: The four symbols revealed will provide the code for unlocking the locked door on level 3.
20 of 20: When properly placed, the position of the four windows (and, hence, the four correct codes for each door) will be: Row 1 (top)/Column 2; Row 2/Column 5; Row 3/Column 2; Row 4 (bottom)/Column 4. (Columns are numbered from left to right, and there are 5 columns in each row.)
