How do I solve the two puzzles inside the dam doors on level 3?
of 18: First, one of the dam doors will be locked initially -- you won't find one of the puzzles until you've unlocked that door.
of 18: You will need to play a little game with the computer.
of 18: There is no specific solution, since the computer will not always play the same strategy.
of 18: The object to the game is to complete an unbroken connection from one side of the screen to the other.
of 18: It is not necessary to make the side connections at the center points of the screen -- it's possible to connect at any point on either side.
of 18: As much as possible, stay on the offensive; rather than the defensive.
of 18: As you play, try to leave yourself more than one alternative.
of 18: Right away, before the computer becomes more agressive in it's blocking, set up a couple of possible paths near both sides of the puzzle.
of 18: More specifically, put a single vertical line near each side of the puzzle.
of 18: You have now given yourself two possible locations to complete your line against the wall.
of 18: But don't complete the line yet, wait until the computer blocks one of the two choices, then use your next move to complete the connection to the wall.
of 18: Study the computer's moves to make your next move.
of 18: Sometimes the computer will attempt to draw a vertical line through the puzzle.
of 18: You should be sure to draw your own horizontal line before the computer completes its line.
of 18: From here on, you'll need to watch the computer and make your moves based on what the computer chooses to do.
of 18: Keep at it, and you'll eventually learn enough to beat the computer.
of 18: It may still take a few tries to get this puzzle. No matter how careful you are, it can still be impossible to complete on occasion.
of 18: You must win TWICE IN A ROW. One unsuccessful attempt "erases" any previous "win", and you have to start again!
