Scratches Hints
Using the Telephone
The telephone is Michael's primary contact with the outside world, and you will need to use it often. Before you can use the telephone, however, it will be necessary to obtain the appropriate phone numbers. The numbers will be made available to you, as you explore the game environment.
The primary target of your phone calls will be Jerry (although it will also be possible to contact other individuals on occasion). It is in the conversations with Jerry that various clues or other information will be provided to Michael, most of which are necessary for the game to progress. Whenever you are at a loss as to what to do next, or where to go, try calling Jerry. (You may not get an answer, or he may be unavailable; but it's always worth a shot.) Listen for specific information, such as clues about what to do next, or information that progresses the story.
