Scratches Hints
How can I break the glass dome?
of 12: There are no tools in inventory that can reach that high.
of 12: It would appear that he will have to throw something up at the dome to break the glass.
of 12: Look around the crypt carefully to see if there's something disposable that can be used for this purpose. (This one can be tricky -- it's a bit of a pixel hunt.)
of 12: Move toward the two caskets at the back of the main room. Look more closely, to see the plaques beneath the two caskets, identifying them as being James and Catherine Blackwood.
of 12: When you in as close a view of the plaques as you can get, you should see a round stone lying on the floor. Click on the stone to add it to your inventory.
of 12: Move back until you are just inside the main doorway.
of 12: Pan up until you can see the domed skylight. Select the stone from inventory, and click on the skylight.
of 12: Oops! Missed! Too bad. Now you've lost the stone, as well. (Happily, though, it did not leave the crypt. Perhaps you even heard it fall.)
of 12: The rock fell down the stairs.
of 12: Go down the stairs, and you will find the stone on the floor, in the corner nearest the stairs.
of 12: Return to a position just in side the main doors, and throw the stone again, exactly as before.
of 12: This time, Michael will succeed in breaking the glass, allowing more sunlight into the crypt.
