In the cellar, how can I stop the parrot seeing me?

2 of 9: You're going to need to put something right over his cage so that he can't see you.
3 of 9: The item you need is found in the cellar, but it needs to be taken to Max, where he will do something to it, and then give it back.
4 of 9: The items you need are the handkerchiefs on the table.
