Sentinel: Descendants in Time Hints
What are all of these structures around the landscape?
of 8: Let's start by defining a few terms, as it will make the rest of the hints more understandable. One of the first things to do in Sanselard is to "make a circuit" of the area. Look closely at everything you find; you should find many similarities between the structures here.
of 8: There are really only 4 basic structures. What follows is a description, and naming convention, for each of the structure types.
of 8: There are a number of tall metal structures, with spinning wheels on top of them. In addition, they have some kind of "touch pad" on the front that apparently emits some strange noises. Let's call these the "machinery towers".
of 8: There are also a number of brownish structures, apparently made from tree branches, which display alternating images. These also have a "touch pad" on the front that, like the machinery towers, emit some strange sounds. We'll refer to these as the "stands", because of their shape.
of 8: There are four tall towers, which are similar to the machinery towers, in that they have spinning wheels at their top. However, they are much taller than the machinery towers, and periodically there is a beacon of light, connecting these towers to a central tower. These we will call the "light towers".
of 8: There is one single, large tower, located at the far end of Sanselard (from where you first arrived), with what appears to be four dish antennae on top. There is a glass tube going up the center of this tower. The tower seems to be the focal point of the four light beams coming from the light towers. And if you are close enough to the tower, you can notice four huge mechanical arms that are activated at the same time that a beam of light is present. This, for lack of a better name, will simply be "the large tower".
of 8: Take some time and investigate every one of the structures in Sanselard. Make notes as you go.
of 8: Surely there must be some relationship between all of these structures. It's up to you to figure out what that relationship is. (Or you can read the rest of the hints in this section to help you with the puzzles.)
