Sentinel: Descendants in Time Hints
I still need a bit more help.
1 of 7: Each of the light towers, and each of the machinery towers, has several spinning wheels at their top.
2 of 7: The direction in which the wheels are spinning is the key to linking a light tower with a machinery tower.
3 of 7: Since there are 4 light towers and 8 machinery towers, each light tower will link to (i.e., have the same spinning-wheel configuration as) two machinery towers.
4 of 7: You will need to go around to all 12 of these towers, making careful notes about the combination of spinning wheels on top of each. Those notes should give you the correlation between the light towers and the machinery towers, which is the first step in solving this puzzle.
5 of 7: Next, you need to correlate the machinery towers to specific stands (the yellow-brown wooden stands with the "sounding pads" on them). This is done by comparing sounds on the machinery towers with sounds on the stands. Each of the sound pads -- on both the machinery towers and the wooden stands -- produces two specific sounds when clicked on. You should try to identify which two sounds (of a total of four possible sounds) is produced -- and IN WHICH ORDER -- on each of the 8 machinery towers, and then locate the one wooden stand that matches each (i.e., the same two sounds, in the same order).
6 of 7: The above process may be simplified if you focus on one light tower at a time. Select one of the light towers, and note its spinning-wheel configuration. Then locate the two machinery towers that exactly match the configuration. Carefully listen to the sounds produced at those two machinery towers, and find the two wooden stands that produce the same sound patterns. Then make note of the pair of symbols being displayed at each of those two matching wooden stands. Now return to the light tower where you began, and use the display stand in front of the tower. Click on each quadrant until you can display the two pairs of symbols you retrieved from the two wooden stands. (There is no clue provided as to which pair goes on top, and which goes on the bottom. You'll have to try the two pairs, and see which orientation solves the puzzle.)
7 of 7: Once you have solved one light tower, you can solve the others in the same manner, following the same process.
